The instrument used consisted of a Geriatric Anxiety Scale questionnaire and a Sphygmomanomater tool. The data analysis technique used is using the chi-square test. The results of the study with statistical tests obtained a P-value of 0.001 <0.05 with a value of C = 0.488 included in the interval (0.26 <C <0.50), then the correlation between anxiety levels and increased blood pressure including the category of association is quite strong. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between anxiety levels with increased blood pressure in the elderly.
