Complex Febrile Seizure (CFS) is a neurological condition in children that requires routine medication during hospitalization. In toddlers, the process of taking medication often causes anxiety, characterized by crying, fussiness, fear, and refusal to take medicine, which may interfere with treatment success. One non-pharmacological intervention that can be implemented is smartbook play therapy. The purpose of this final nursing scientific paper was to apply smartbook play therapy to reduce anxiety levels during medication administration in a child diagnosed with Complex Febrile Seizure (CFS) in the Flamboyan Ward of RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo. The method used was a case study with a nursing care approach involving one 3-year-old pediatric patient, conducted in three intervention sessions of 15 minutes each. Anxiety levels were measured using the Modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale (mYPAS) before and after the intervention. The results showed a decrease in anxiety levels from a score of 18 to 10 on the first day, 12 to 9 on the second day, and 9 to 6 on the third day. In conclusion, smartbook play therapy was effective in helping reduce anxiety levels during medication administration in children with Complex Febrile Seizure (CFS).
